About Me

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Cork Counselling Services Training Institute (Validated by Coventry University) and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff.  I am an accredited member (M15609) of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and abide by their code of ethics and practice.  I have been practicing as a psychotherapist since 2020, both in community based counselling services and private practice, and have over 10 years of previous experience working in the field of mental health and disability in Ireland and the UK.

My Approach

I work with adults and adolescents (and their families) to help people heal and grow. I believe that being heard, understood, and accepted are essential parts of this process. My training in the Humanistic Integrative approach recognises that we are all unique and therefore one size doesn’t fit all.  This means I use different therapeutic practices to meet the needs of each individual. These include; Person-Centred, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ACT, Existential, Attachment-based and Relational Therapy.
